Samira Soto aka Tiburón - Player Character
Samira was a curious and zealous orphan who hid as a stowaway on La Ola de Oro. She didn’t know at the time, but the ship belonged to the famous pirate Javier Jiménez. When the captain discovered her hiding under the main deck, he saw a familiar look in her eye–a feeling he knew all too well: she was alone and in search of belonging. Javier took pity on her and put her to work as the ship’s lookout–constantly watching for danger on the horizon.
As time passed Samira cut her teeth on the ship, fending for herself and learning the ways of the pirate. She quickly learned how Javier earned his reputation. Danger came from far and wide hoping to strip him of his title as the world’s most dangerous pirate. Each week was a new adventure. Sea beasts, rival pirates, and the Navy all clashed with Javier and his crew, in attempts to dethrone him.
Her greatest challenge came when Javier’s second in command, the Quartermaster, Seymour, betrayed Javier, tipping the Navy of his whereabouts. As Seymour stood above Javier, pistol cocked and aimed to kill, Samira jumped on Seymour’s back sinking her teeth into the side of his neck, ripping out a chunk of flesh. She gave her Captain enough time to regather himself and force the pistol from Seymour’s hands. The traitor fled, Javier rallied, and his men were able to escape the Navy’s onslaught. On that day, Samira earned a new name: Tiburón and was elected by the crew to be the new Quartermaster at the age of 19. La Ola de Oro could barely sail, but the crew’s morale had never been higher.
